Well, I just got back from the most amazing vacation! I went with my boyfriend and his family to a tiny little island off the coast of the Outer Banks in North Carolina. It's like going to an exotic island; very quaint, quiet and absolutely beautiful! We camped at a campsite right behind the doons leading straight onto a beach. The beach was so peaceful since it was basically a private beach for campers only. The vacation was full of runs on the beach in the morning, cooking on a grill (steak, pasta, and fresh seafood one night!), jet skiing, surf shops, eating a little restaurant on the dock of the inlet, and frequent stops at the island coffee shop for amazing fruit smoothies and coffee! It was exactly the relaxing experience I needed and would go back in a heartbeat. After Ocracoke, we drove back up to Virginia and stopped in Williamsburg for a couple days to go to Busch Gardens and Water Country with the rest of his family. Here are a couple photos from the trip:

My Best Friend's Bridal Shower
Today was my best friend's bridal shower! It was ALOT of work to put it together but with the help of a couple people we pulled together a great party :] Check out some of these photos.
It luckily turned out to be a beautiful shower and Lauren was glowing the whole time! The only thing we were missing was the 4th bridesmaid. I'm so relieved I pulled it off and now all that's left are pictures to look back on. Today was a h u g e success!!

My SimpleLife is Not so Simple Anymore
My best friend is getting married in exactly 50 days. I can't believe how close it is getting to her big day! Tomorrow is her bridal shower and I am hurrying to put together the last minute details. All the food is cooked and mostly ready, the tables are decorated, centerpieces made, and games prepared. I hope she loves it and totally is blown away. I will put up pictures when I get a chance.
The summer is coming quickly! And changes in my life will soon take place. I will be starting graduate school in the fall and will be changing to part time status at work. I am excited to change my schedule and have nights and weekends to spend time with friends and family (both of who I miss dearly since I have been working difficult night time hours for over a year now). Things will be different soon, but for now I am concentrating on finishing out the time I have at work full time and doing tons of planning for my best friend's bridal shower and wedding festivities as well as helping my boyfriend prepare to start school in July and move to a new house. Busy times for me! But I will keep pressing on.
